So this past week, whilst everyone had been trotting off to London Fashion Week events, I have been adding more things to my shopping list and lusting over the usual: bags, shoes and more makeup that even China knows I don't need.
Nonetheless, after a hilarious luncheon with some of my childhood friends I decided to make the most out of my day. So me and my Cavalli ankle boots went to Selfridges. The new Shop/Cook Mac Collection was on show and I - with some serious restraint - picked up only two items along with a sample of their Studio Sculpt foundation in NC30.
On to my main mission - Giorgio Armani samples courtesy of Grazia magazine. Unfortunately there were all out of their Eyes to Kill Mascara sample (try another counter e.g Harvey Nichols but go to http://giorgioarmanibeauty.co.uk/services/storelocator-search.aspx to find one in your area) which, lets be honest has been so raved about making me want to join the lash fluttering community already out there. Still, the free Soap and Glory Mascara in Elle's March issue works absolutely amazing on me and I'm about to stock up on some more of them.
The Mac items i picked up were 'Woo Me' Kissable Lipcolour and 'Wholesome' Fluidline. I was afraid 'Woo Me' would be too milky for my darkish pigmented lips but the formula is so smooth that it melts in and gives that oh so popular nude look - going back for more of these. As for 'Wholesome' - I love it - in my opinion its MAC's 'Coffee' eye pencil in a gel form.
So it seems like this week is going to be pretty experimental with all my cute samples! What are your picks from the recent, what seems like millions, of MAC collections?
